DISCLAIMER: Unfortunatelly, I couldn't properly finish this build on time for the official GMTK Jam 2025. So the zip uploaded in THIS itch.io page is a pre-alpha broken unfinished version of the game :(

However, I managed to finish the first polished version of the game around 10 hours after the Jam's closed. You can try it here!

My official submission to the Jam will keep being the broken version, but I loved the experience of making this game.

🛡️ Gladiator's Echo

Every move you make becomes your worst enemy.

In Gladiator’s Echo, you fight for survival in a cursed arena where every action leaves an echo — a ghostly clone that mimics your exact past movements and attacks. Outlive waves of enemies… and the relentless ghosts of your former self.

Will you master the arena, or be overwhelmed by your own shadow?

🎮 Controls

• WASD – Move

• Mouse – Aim

• Left Click – Shoot (uses ammo)

• Right Click / Shift – Dash (damages enemies, cooldown)

🔁 Core Rules

• Shooting creates a ghost clone
  Your ghost replays your recorded movements and attacks from the start of the wave.

• Ghosts can hurt you
  Their bullets deal damage.

• Ghosts can be killed… but at a price
  Shooting your clone damages you too.

• Survive 10 enemy waves
  Win by outlasting all enemy waves and your ghost echoes.

• Ghosts vanish when you survive a wave
  Finish a wave to send the ghosts away.

• Limited ammo
  Collect ammo drops from defeated enemies or pickups.

• 3 lives only
  Lose them all, and it's game over.
